Medical Mission

Upholding tradition, rightful healthcare, genuine service, and undivided community building have long been the aim of the medical missions supported by the Sulu Garden Foundation, Inc. (SGF) in several remote places of Iloilo Province since 2012. The initiative brings healthcare services more accessible in remote villages through collaborations with the Philippine Army and volunteers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and many stakeholders). Our village folks receive free medicines, as well as medical, dental, and food assistance. Since 2012 we have served over 10,000 of our countrymen through this activity.

Our previous medical mission was in the mountain village of Dalije, Miag-ao on March 8, 2020, just before the start of the pandemic. Now that the pandemic is over, we again revived medical missions in partnership with the Philippine Army’s 61st Infantry Battalion from Camp Monteclaro (Miag-ao) on January 18, 2023, in Barangay Riro-an in the town of Igbaras.
