SGF joins DOST-Certified Science Foundations’ General Assembly and Partnerships Forum

Sulu Garden Foundation, Inc. was specially invited to participate in the DOST-Certified Science Foundations’ General Assembly and Partnerships Forum last September 22, 2025 at the Titanium Hall, MIRDC Building, DOST Complex, Taguig City while it undergoes evaluation for DOST Science Foundation certification. This marks a significant step in the foundation’s pursuit of formal recognition and access to DOST’s technical expertise and support.

The Department of Science and Technology’s Science & Technology Foundation Unit, in partnership with DOST–National Capital Region, convened certified and candidate foundations under the theme “Building Strategic Partnerships towards the Advancement of Science, Technology, and Innovation.” The forum aimed to align initiatives with national priorities and to foster linkages among government, academe, industry, and civil society.

  • Presentation of flagship DOST programs and opportunities for engagement in innovation-driven, inclusive projects

About DOST Science and Technology Foundation Unit

The Department of Science and Technology through its S&T Foundation Unit certifies S&T-oriented private foundations for tax exemption purposes, and specific research and development projects implemented for scientific advancement for the availment of and integration into the programs of the Department of Science and Technology as mandated by Sec. 24 of the Republic Act No. 2067, or more commonly known as the “Science Act of 1958”, as amended by the Republic Act No. 3589.
